Green Hill University
Green Hill University is a foundational element of the overall disciple-making strategy of Green Hill Baptist Church. We offer a variety of learning opportunities each semester (Fall and Spring) in order to create an environment of spiritual growth and maturity. In addition, the path to membership in the spiritual family at Green Hill is facilitated by "GHU."
The membership class, "Discover Green Hill," meets 4 - 6 times per year, typically on a Saturday morning. Class is held in the Harter building. The class lasts from 9:00am until 12:00Noon. There is coffee, juice, and doughnuts to enjoy along with meaningful discussion about what it means to be a healthy member of God's church. Please check back for upcoming dates. Email Church Office to register.
This spring's Sunday afternoon class offering was entitled "Life Transformation Groups: The Path to Disciplemaking" We introduced this intuitive concept which promotes Scripture reading, prayer, evangelism, and accountability, all in the context of community. The LTG is simple, yet powerful. It incorporates the values of community, internal life transformation and reproduction of disciples. There is no cost for these Sunday afternoon classes and the only resource needed is your Bible.
Class offerings for the fall are being planned now. Each class is held on Sunday afternoon from 4:30 - 5:30 in the Harter building. Please check back for class offerings. We pray that you will take advantage of these discipleship opportunities.
You can register for classes by contacting the Church Office, by email.
God intends for us to play an active and vital part in the body of Christ, the local church. He wants us to experience the local church as a home more profoundly wonderful and meaningful than any other place on earth. He intends for his churches to be healthy places and for the members of those churches to be healthy as well. This book explains how membership in the local church can produce spiritual growth in its members and how each member can contribute to the growth and health of the whole.
