Lori Huffman is a follower of Jesus Christ and has a deep love for children and animals.
Lori has many passions in life. She loves the Lord with all her heart and strives to grow deeper in her relationship with Him daily. She desires for the light of Jesus to flow from her in every aspect of her life so she can be a witness for Him in all she does. Lori loves to go on mission trips to share the love of Jesus. She has had the privilege of going on two trips to Brazil and one to Thailand. She has also enjoyed several mission trips within the US.
Lori loves working with children. She has 8 nieces and nephews with which she loves to spend time. She was a nanny while she lived in Texas and has been a teacher’s assistant in the public school system for the past 3 years. She is looking forward to having her own classroom to teach in the fall of 2017.
Another passion she has is her love of animals. Lori has a dog, a cat, two turtles, and a bearded dragon named D. D. (Diva Dragon). She worked as a veterinary assistant for 15 years before God called her to work with children and she wouldn’t be opposed to having a small farm in the future.
Lori is thankful for the educational opportunities God has given to her. She graduated from Airport High School in 1998 and went on to graduate from Charleston Southern University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Religion. In 2010, she felt the Lord calling her to work in children’s ministry and went on to continue her studies at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, where she earned her Master of Arts in Christian Education. Lori is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix and will be a certified teacher by the fall of 2017.
Lori is excited to have a ministry with the Green Hill kids where she can use all her passions to honor God. She is able to share the love of Jesus with the kids and teach them about His love for them. She also has her favorite bearded dragon, D. D., at the church to assist her in ministry.
